As an expert in the field of system design, I have seen firsthand the benefits that modular design can bring to both developers and users. The flexibility, scalability, maintainability, and reuse that come with modular systems are undeniable advantages. These systems are able to adapt to changing requirements, environments, or technologies by easily replacing, adding, or removing modules without disrupting the rest of the system. They also have the ability to handle increased demand or workload by replicating or distributing modules across different nodes or platforms.
But as with any approach, there are also challenges and drawbacks that come with modular design. In this article, I will discuss these challenges and how to overcome them in order to fully reap the benefits of modular design.
